Základní informace. Aero L-159 Alca je moderní český lehký cvičný a bojový letoun. Let prototypu se uskutečnil v roce 1997. V roce 2000 stroj vstoupil do linie českého letectva a zůstává v ní dodnes. Celkem bylo vyrobeno asi 70 sériových exemplářů tohoto letounu. Pohon zajišťuje jeden motor Honeywell F-124-GA-100 .
