The original was my favorite game of all time until this came out. This game is just better in almost every way, updating graphics and adding tons of more modern QoL features. The only argument for the old game is nostalgia and preferring its art style. 3.

p.s. I play this game on PC, maybe I am lucky, but I don't recall stumbling into any game breaking bugs on the 2010 or 2020 version of Mafia II. I got a 3rd gen i5 paired with a NVIDIA 1050 Ti 4GB (although I originally played Mafia II (2010) on a AMD 5670 GPU). DifferenceNo3649. • 13 days ago.

Then again, I never played the original Mafia, but I think the remake mechanics ought to be comparable to or better than the mechanics of L.A Noire. The acceleration is great, but the brakes are terrible. The one part of the race track that causes me to always crash is the sharp turn that comes up after you've been driving straight for a while.
