Jul 2, 2015. #9. That's not just a little oil, that is crazy. I'd do a flush and fill and see what happens. Its possible the heater core is plugged. Check the hoses going into it, they both should be close to the same temp, with the inlet being very hot. If the inlet is hot and the outlet cool, heater core is plugged.

temp fix. While preparing to under take the task of removing and replacing the alternator I thought it wise just to check everything once over in an attempt to rule out any other possiblities for the voltage drop i.e ground connections , battery load. alternator connections.
